Reed is a Florida native and an attorney licensed in Florida. He has practiced law in Florida since 1982 and has been a sole practitioner since 1994 at Reed B. Somberg, P.A. He has offices in Miami and Jupiter, Florida. He has an excellent relationship and reputation among the judiciary and legal community.

Reed earned a law degree from NOVA School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from University of Florida. He has completed the Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediation Training Program. He is admitted to practice in the Southern District of Florida and South District of Florida Trial Bar. He also holds commercial and private aircraft ratings and is rated to fly fixed wing, rotor wing, and weight shift aircraft with over 4000 hours total time.

As a sole practitioner he has concentrated on areas of family law, personal injury and commercial litigation.  

Reed has been appointed by the 11th Judicial Circuit as Special Master and Guardian Ad Litem in many matters and has dedicated hundreds of hours to pro bono Guardian Ad Litem matters, all with positive resolutions for all involved.

John was born in the Northeast and has been a resident of South Florida for thirty five years. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1988 and received his Juris Doctor from the University of West Palm Beach School of Law in 1992. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1992. He has concentrated his practice in Commercial and Residential Real Estate, Financing, Family Law, Real Estate and Commercial Litigation. He is also a licensed Real Estate Agent and Mortgage Broker.

John has been in private practice as a Real Estate attorney since 1992 and has been involved in numerous real estate transactions representing both buyers and sellers. Areas of practice include commercial transactions representing lenders, buyers as well as sellers.
